I am a product of the West. It is spiritual. There are ghosts and you can feel them in the mountains, the deserts, the forests. I am an author, reader, musician, a consumer and purveyor of curiosity, science, history, thrillers. Science has always fascinated me. I was the little kid randomly opening encyclopedia pages on my Saturday mornings and I have the personality to prove it! 

History fades so quickly for us now. We must fight to keep it alive lest we suffer for our ignorance.

Romance, real, raw, the all-consuming love described by ancient poets is out there somewhere, despite all evidence to the contrary.

I humbly ask you to be involved. Make the world a bit better. Step one is to learn. Read about the experiences of those touched by warfare and ethnic cleansing. When you travel, do so with purpose. Seek out the culture, history, and people, not only ephemeral pictures.
